HCBS is a government-funded program offered by the Office of Mental Health dedicated to ensuring that Medicaid beneficiaries receive high-quality, cost-effective, person-centered services in the setting of their choice.
The program aims to support children and youth as they work toward goals and achievements. To maximize results, services are provided where children/ youth and families are most comfortable — at home or in the community. It includes direct support for the children and their caregivers, who are essential in achieving the desired outcome.
HCBS is a flexible and versatile program that includes an array of personal, flexible services to meet the health, mental health, substance use treatment, and/or developmental needs of each child/youth. It also supports their caregivers with home modification and respite services so they can better support the children under their care.
Professionals dedicated to helping you find the right services for your child and their family/caregivers. Care Managers work with children/youth, their families, and service providers to ensure they receive the care and services they need.
